Super overproduced angsty emo pop disguised as rock. Big choruses paired with sparer verses. Very few bridges. So much echo it sounds like a wind tunnel in a sewer.

Poetic alternative death rock? Slower tempos; sometimes plodding. Devastatingly bleak lyrics but the tunes are melodic. Check out "Din in Love" and "Country Girl."

You might think they're death metal, but Band of Skulls sounds more like a Jack White project. They have adopted a similar heavy blues-based rock sound and similar riffs. Good Jack White-like vocals. Celtic influenced pop-metal with a soaring, grand growlingness that's impossible to take seriously. Apparently the lyrics are true historical war stories. Big choruses. Lots of guitars and echo.

Decent pop-punk that's closest comp is perhaps Morrissey. Good sense of humor. Many songs about romance. Band originated in the 90's but new album out.
