Playboi Carti
Not bringing much new to the rap scene. Thin voice autotuned. Techno backing loop tracks get old fast. Repetitive, explicit & offensive. Click here for Apple Music playlist

Ashes & Arrows
Overdramatic, trembly voice country-rock. Did well on America's Got Talent, if that means anything to you. (To us, it means yuck.)

aldn
Indie pop that at least uses different types of instrumentation, including acoustic and electric guitars, and experiments with chop editing. vocals are okay, and lyrics about teenage/20-something problems.

Chill lounge music from a Japanese singer-songwriter. Very pleasant voice. Great for a mix or background music. Can be a bit too much of the same.

Cedric Burnside
Solid traditional blues with a wonderfully crunchy guitar sound. Great vocalist. Check out "We Made It," "Step In," and from his most recent album, "Juke Joint." Click here for Apple Music playlist

Craig Finn
Plodding, pretentious midtempo pop-rock that seems to want to emulate Warren Zevon and/or Bruce Springsteen, but not in the same ballpark. Curious lack of choruses. He is the singer for The Hold Steady. Overall not that bad, but if you listen to 4 or 5 songs in a row, the overdone lyrics and lack of musical changes make it really irritating.
