Creative & melodic Japanese guitar-based alternative rock. Good singer. Musically excellent. Surprisingly full sound for just a trio (listen to their live album!) Range from pretty & poppy to noisy raucous distortion. Excellent production.

Very fine, gentle indie pop with great atmosphere and attention to detail.
p.s. they are not from Ohio.
Excellent keyboard and violin based songs with unique atmosphere. Great vocalist. Interesting lyrics. Very well produced.
Kinda copies The Shins sometimes but we can look past that.
Check out "I am The Antichtist to You," Can't Let Go, Juno" and "Carry on Phenomenon."
Also very different but worth the time is his album "Music From the Song Film: Omoiyari" which is from a documentary he did.
He was in of Montreal for a few years.
